Product Manager FX

Main objective of the role: development of our FX module  to ensure the solution meets corporate & bank end user needs, is innovative, scalable and seamlessly integrates with the wider TreasurUp product offering.

The job - tasks & responsibilities

The product manager FX focus areas  are trade capture, trade optimisation, risk management & execution, insights & dashboarding.

You will report to the CTO/Head of product development and will work closely with peer product managers,  the engineering team, but also the commercial team, operations team and directly with banks, corporate end users to deliver an innovative product.

You are responsible for

• Owning and leading product development and enhancements for the FX product from inception (market opportunities, business case) through to final delivery

• Closely working  with end users and possible partners on ensuring the best solution and a fast time-to-market

• Holding ideas against new market trends that you obtain from conferences, domain articles and research reports and setting a long term vision for the module which can alter over time 

• Collaborating with all relevant stakeholders (management, engineering, sales/marketing, UX, legal, compliance, operations) to assess innovation & customer value, usability and feasibility.

• Defining KPIs to measure success and track performance of the product together with the customer success manager

• Owning the prioritised backlog of work with the engineering team and manage prioritisation decisions along with management and product owner to align delivery with the product roadmap

• Facilitating difficult trade-offs and decisions relating to product features, cost, and schedule

• Drafting desired solutions together with pre-sales consultant(s) in the pre-sales phase. This includes attending, preparing and chairing certain workshop sessions with bank prospects and translating concepts at some point into an impact assessment and requirements.  

What you bring as a person

• 5+ years of financial product manager/owner or business analyst experience in cross-functional teams with a track record of efficient delivery 

• Academic background in finance

• Domain experience within treasury and/or financial services. In particular domain and/or system experience with FX risk management, TMS, ERP  will be highly regarded.

• Strong focus on user experience & journeys. Our goal is to achieve an extremely intuitive customer experience in relation to understanding our treasury product offerings, ease of use & integration)

• Very good communication skills,  you will be responsible for building out our products with stakeholders and users across multiple banks, multiple countries and jurisdictions. Effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders is essential to effectively deliver solutions to the market.

• Client oriented attitude: you are a person that is not afraid of contacting corporate treasurers  (through your own network), bank stakeholders to meet with them and to extensively validate, You are also able to organise client validation and feedback sessions and to present/chair these sessions yourself.  

• Ability to stay focused on what is important to corporate end-users and the banks

• Capable of inspiring a engineering team and getting people excited about your product vision

• Ability to identify gaps and the flexibility to manage and close them with relevant team members

• Open to and effective in other cultures and working abroad (short travels)

• Innovative mindset and willing/capable of being a leader in the field through visionary views and strategic analyses
